What is the i-bank Simple Pay service?
i-bank Simple Pay is an online service of NBG that enables you to make payments over the Internet by using your debit cards and credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) issued by NBG or other banks or by charging your NBG deposit account via our i-bank Internet Banking Service. Payments can be performed simply, quickly and securely.
Who is the i-bank Simple Pay service designed for?
i-bank Simple Pay is designed for individuals who want to pay bills or other dues over the Internet. If you want to make your payments online, easily, quickly and securely whether as an individual or a sole proprietorship (e.g. to pay a utility or mobile phone bill), i-bank Simple Pay is the solution you are looking for.
Is there any charge for payments made using i-bank Simple Pay?
Making payments through the i-bank Simple Pay service is not subject, in general, to transaction costs. In certain cases, however, where a fee is charged, this will be communicated to you before the completion of your transaction.

What kind of payments can I perform through the i-bank Simple Pay service?
i-bank Simple Pay enables you to make payments to partner businesses and organizations such as utility companies, public agencies, NGOs, mobile and landline telephony, insurance companies, as well as payments to social insurance funds (e.g., O.A.E.E., E.T.E.A., T.Α.Ι.S.Υ.Τ.).

How can I sign up for the i-bank Simple Pay service?
It’s really easy to sign up for the service. On the Homepage, click on “Register”, and fill in the form with the requested information. Once you’ve completed this step, you’ll receive an email which shows you how to activate your i-bank Simple Pay account.
What other services does i-bank Simple Pay offer?
The i-bank Simple Pay service offers you the following additional services:

  1. Creating and managing your personal profile
  2. Saving the details of your transactions, to avoid typing out the same details each time you make a similar transaction.
  3. Saving your card number, to avoid typing out the same number each time you use your card (Card number saving is performed according to PCI-DSS rules).
  4. Keeping a record of your transactions (reports).
  5. Keeping a record of your successful payment receipts
Can I register to i-bank Simple Pay for free?
Yes, your registration to the service is free.
What procedure should I follow to make a payment?
You need to hold either a debit card or credit card (MasterCard or Visa) issued by NBG or another bank or to have an account with NBG and register for the Bank’s Internet Banking Service. You can then select the transaction you wish to make and fill in the fields with the requested information.
How can I perform payments through i-bank Simple Pay?
The available payment methods through i-bank Simple Pay are:

  1. By charging a deposit account of NBG through our i-bank Internet Banking Service.
  2. By charging a debit card or credit card (MasterCard or Visa) issued by NBG or another bank.
How can I know if my transaction has been successfully carried out or not?
For each successful payment you make using the i-bank Simple Pay service, you receive an instant output on your screen confirming successful completion. In addition, i-bank Simple Pay service sends you automatically an e-mail with the transaction receipt to the email address you registered when signing up for the service. You can also get informed about successful completion of your transaction from the “Reports” or “Payment receipts” utility.

Can I cancel a payment I’ve made via i-bank Simple Pay?
Payments through the i-bank Simple Pay service with the use of cards, cannot be cancelled.
Payments through the i-bank Simple Pay service by charging a deposit account of NBG through i-bank Internet Banking Service can be cancelled from i-bank Internet Banking according to the cancellation policy of the Service.
Can I change my personal information after registering for i-bank Simple Pay (e.g. user name, password)?
When you register to the i-bank Simple Pay service you set up your own personal account through which you can change your registered personal information and security credentials at any time.
What happens if I forget my password to login to the service?
If you forgot your password, do the following:

Step 1: Select "Forgot your password?" in the login area for registered members on the right side of the screen.
Step 2: Fill in the e-mail address that you used to register to the service.
Step 3: Fill in the answer to the security question you selected during the registration process.
Step 4: Fill in the special characters displayed in the captcha.

When you have successfully completed the above procedure, you’ll instantly receive an e-mail with a link that enables you to reset your password.
What happens if I’ve also forgotten the answer to the security question?
If you forgot both the password and the answer to the security question, you can contact NBG’s Contact Center by calling 18 18 18 from a fixed or mobile phone if you’re in Greece, or +30 210-4848484 if you’re abroad we will then send you by e-mail a link to create a new password and set a new security question.
